This blog is dedicated to interesting vehicles. Your host is Rob Good and invited guests. We are car lovers, but we definitely don't always love the same cars. We look forward to posting info about cars and rating them. We invite you to submit no-holds barred comments on the cars we blog! Feel free to submit to us suggestions of cars that we should rate!

James Bond cars.... Questionaire.
To preview our next post, I'd like to know what you think the best and worst James Bond cars of the past have been, and what vehicle(s) you think the new James Bond should drive in the next movie coming out soon?

So as an example......
Best previous Bond Car: Aston DB5, BMW Z8
Worse previous Bond car: Amc with R Moore
Next Bond Car(s): Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari F430, BMW M5/6, Aston DB5, Lotus Exige.
I think the BMW or Aston Martin are the better suggestions. It's gotta be British, and I think the Exige would be too small for a bond car. How would he make out with a chick in that?
Well that is my suggestion for cars... What is yours?
Quintessentially, for Britishness the old Aston Martin DB's (early ones), cars most identified with him. A Jag E-type would've made him look just a little less debonaire. Quite liked the Lotus Esprit too, perfectly suited for the different decade that followed. Future Bond cars? Must be British, yes, an Aston Martin, even a DB9 (I've seen one here, beautifully proportioned car); the new E-Type with the weird headlamps just doesn't quite make it. Had Bentley developed an equivalent car -- lighter, more nimble, with really stylish elegance, perhaps. Worst car? I reckon it's Timothy Dalton's Aston -- that look was perfect for the '60s (Bond would really look as aspirational as life in the original The Thomas Crown Affair), but it simply looks too old for Dalton.
So Tony is for the DB9
Yep, but pick another colour other than silver or grey, Bond's an individualist, and almost all Astons I see are silver.
Well that was an impractical mode of transport...
Ha A TVR would be a good one. I beg to differ on the Z8, as it is a spectacular car if you have had the opportunity to drive, or even see one in the flesh. But you are right, a German car for a UK agent seems a bit different, although he does occasionally have Italian and American cars involved.
Best car: Aston Martin V12 Vanquish in Die Another Day. Even without the invisibility cloaking device it's still an awesome car.
Worst and most inappropriate cars: BMW Z8 and 750iL. Boring and they look like product placements - ie they don't suit his character.
Next movie: I'd like to see Bond do some hard driving in a new Bentley, though a TVR would be awesome too. But only the baddies should drive German cars and goodies drive British.
Most memorable car scene: the Ferrari Spider 355 in Goldeneye gracefully spinning around on gravel at high speed.
Something Modern but holds a unique vintage class feel to it but still has absolute performance and handling and only one car comes to mind.
The Weismann GT
Not familiar with the Wiesmann GT?
i think they will continue with the classic aston martin, maybe use the DB9 or DB6 and maybe through a few jaguars into the mix!
