Due to the untimely passing of racing legend Peter Brock, this years Bathurst has unofficially been rebadged as "Brockhurst" in recognition of a legendary driver.
He was a great abasssdor of motor racing, the Super V8's and of Holden and this is the big race of every year up and over Mount Panorama.

It's not been a promising start for Holden for the first hour. Mark Skaife after taking Pole Position (P1) suffered a clutch error that caused high rev's and the car running at a slow speed which is the major reason the he was clipped by another Holden car from behind after they came over the hill after the first corner. Two holdens were out of the race within 30 seconds. Another has just gone down, Richards I believe.
Very apt name for Bathurst this year...
Ford took the win :-(
