I'm a big fan of wood in dashboards, but in this case, the very contemporary and technically detailed dashboard would be better complimented by perhaps piano black, or a different type of wood veneer, done in a dark shade. Like the smoked burr sometimes seen in Jaguars. The Passat dash looks bland compared to this.
